Regular Meditation from Tuesday October 6th

Tuesdays 9am (8am in summer months)

45 minutes to sit, lie & be still, to take time to pause. Soften the breath. This is something I have wanted to nurture & offer for a while. For myself & to share, A small reading, text or script to bring a sense of thread, a little settling into breath, comfort & then quiet time for meditation. At Daya yurt with time for a cuppa afterwards, or join the 10am class, or scoot off & head into the rest of your day.

No experience or great gift needed we will hollow it into a peaceful weekly consistent practice.

Vanda scaravelli Why are we doing yoga? no motivation, no aims, only an agreeable appointment for the body to look forward. We do it for the fun of it. To twist, stretch and move around, it is pleasant and enjoyable, a body holiday

I have enjoyed many styles of yoga & retreats over the years, hatha, kundalini and Iyengar, Yin, Nidra all are wonderful and beneficial in so many ways it’s difficult to list, we all experience the time on the mat differently always depending on what we need at the time. My teaching is Scaravelli based with a meditative background and some restorative, yin & Nidra. Yoga sneaks up on you and suddenly it’s in your life bringing a new sense of being, calm or discipline, so it’s difficult to define what it will be for the individual, which is where the magic lies, best to come along try a class & see if my style is for you. Seasonally it will change slightly, if any injuries, ailments or problems poses can always be adjusted and we move at a steady slow pace to really feel into the body, with breathwork, mindfulness and enquiry. There is focus on the spine, release around holding and movement to wake up the body. We may look at philosophy, we might have a focus on a pose, the development is always evolving as are we.

The torch of yoga is like a magnet drawing energy from the element of nature in harnessing the body, mind, intelligence & consciousness to be on par with the intuitive intelligence of the soul, which like the sun never wanes or waxes BKS Iyengar

Retreats & workshops at Awakening Rose

Daya the Mongolian yurt is set up to hold up to 10 people practicing yoga, meditation or Nidra and all the mats, bolsters, blankets & eye pillows are set up for.

We named her Daya – in Sanskrit one of the Yamas in some yogic traditions & is a name gifted to me by another with the energy of bringing in gentleness, kindness & compassion but also inner strength. A space to evolve into reverence for Yoga practice, meditation, living consciously & shared time with warmth through the changing of the seasons. Somewhere to relax, soften round the edges, lighten the heart and feel more in spirit.

Each month there is offerings combining Yoga, foodie enjoyment, Ayurvedic learnings, seasonal living & time to relax. Where we can we rest into time outside, a bonfire in the lovely garden space or cosy time in the yurt warming from the log burner. As well as regular yoga sessions.
