Stupendous September

I started writing this as the rain poured down, the day was dark and the chickens were in their coop, and finish it today with sun shining, clear skies and all the windows open. Seasonal change, transition, feels of Autumn and the great British weather. I hope this finds you well and in good spirit, apologies for a long delay in the monthly newsletters, due to various factors they took a back step but now as we enter September, it’s a good point to restart new projects, open up the ideas and share new offerings, recipes, and hopefully, helpful info to guide you along the way.
Heading into Autumn there is a lot of transition within our internal world, our physical body, how we feel as well as the external changes in daylight hours, weather and daily routines, if you fancy a read on more Ayurveda and a holistic approach to Autumn have a read of my blog here.
For more interesting stuff and if you feel in need of a change up, whether physically, mentally, dietary, or just feeling stuck in a rut, an Ayurvedic self-care consultation can be useful and healing to shift things up. An in-person consultation is recommended but can be done on line also if distance is a problem.

Over the last two years I have been completing a 200-hour yoga, going deeper, teacher training with Dot Bowen, joyously completing this in June this year. Having always enjoyed the benefits of yoga it has been a deepening and humbling journey to take, it brings a lot of calm, relaxation and sense to a fast paced and busy lifestyle living how we do in the UK. If you are new to yoga or would like to give it a go I have been hosting some gentle paced sessions in my garden with a couple more dates available if you would like to come along.
- Tuesday 19th September @10am
- Tuesday 3rd October @3pm
£8 per session
Please book your place as spaces are limited due to parking availability.
Being outside in natural sunlight is highly beneficial to our circadian rhythms, cortisol levels & general hormone balance. Earlier in the morning is great for lifting mood and easing anxiety whilst later in the day is better for reducing stress and releasing melatonin to aid in sleep, although anything outdoorsy and nature is beneficial to us humans, any place, anywhere. The style of yoga is gentle, but energising based on Vanda Scaravelli teachings, an Italian women who came to yoga later in life under the tutelage of Iyengar. Its very exploratory of where the body is at, focusing on the movement of the spine to release tension and open up awareness. For me, yoga is a great tool to allow some time out to check in with how we feel, how the body feels, focus on breathwork, slow down the mind with meditation and tick off having done some exercise at the same time – it’s win-win, whilst also:
- Reducing stress
- Increasing flexibility, muscle strength and tone
- Calming the mind
- Bringing more awareness
- Improving respiration and energy
These classes are weather permitting so I also have a more cosy offering on
Saturday 28th October – See below for further details!

I am really looking forward to this and it’s a wonderful location and venue.

Turning to the physical body now, as we head into the cooler months, more time indoors and wearing more layers, the skin can get a little neglected. Abhyanga the practice of self-massage is wonderful before a shower or bath to nourish the skin, aid circulation & lymph and also release tension and soothe muscles. The autumn balm is highly therapeutic for a gentle foot rub, with the energetics to restore & ground as we can feel a little scattered and anxious as we change through the season’s, whilst the Autumn body & massage oil is also nourishing, for the whole body, with a combination of essential oils to relax. Self-massage is one of the benefits I have really enjoyed from the Ayurveda course as it’s a simple routine to add into your life and makes a huge difference, whilst giving you a sense of how you are feeling. Obviously I also recommend booking in for your treatments too as this really benefits the body also, and we don’t always recognise how tired, stressed and fatigued we are feeling, until the knots have been undone and we leave feeling revived.
Treatments are available:
- Monday to Friday
- 10am to 6pm
Time frames to book range from:
- 45 minutes for a back, neck and shoulder treatment, with 60 minutes, 75 minutes and 90 minutes also available.
Up to;
- The ultimate – 2 hour treatment – incorporating: Reflexology, full body massage, facial treatment, and scalp rub.
Due to more varied need, I’m also now offering more structured complimentary sessions, for more complex health and well-being – predominantly treatment based, using holistic massage, aromatherapy, reflexology & healing, but with detailed consultations, Ayurveda, yoga and meditation, recipes and health advice as required.
Recommended for long term ailments, chronic and acute problems, migraines, menopause, stress management, overall energy boosts, post op recovery.
Sessions are a commitment to weekly treatments for 6 weeks – which includes:
- 6 x 60 minutes treatments
- 2 x 30 minutes consultation
- Email/text advice
- Recommended reading / recipes/ meditation
(Cost of any oils, spices, herbs and supplements are not included)
- Pay in advance £470 (saving £35)
- Pay as you 2 x 90 sessions and 4 x 60 sessions and 1 x £75 paid as initial consultation
This can make a huge difference to the healing journey, if done as an intense push, to focus on whatever the problem is presenting. Looking at what’s gone before, where its at now and then change for the future.
Here’s what a client said:
“I’ve really enjoyed, and find our sessions, so so helpful, you go above and beyond and from the first time I stepped into your treatment room I always just feel so cared for, which is a wonderful feeling that you emit, so thank you so much for all of this, you are amazing.“
My client had been suffering with chronic migraines on a daily basis “My headaches have pretty much disappeared to just one or two a month, which is life changing”. Do get in touch to discuss your needs and requirements and how to achieve moving forward: 07788 150831

Lastly, I have recently loved being part of – Siobhan Swider Crystal healing and Sound course – at Yoga in the Yurt at Knepp. It was an amazing experience with crystal exploration, meditation, and sound baths. I would highly recommend and there is a chakra one coming up in the Autumn too. I am now offering a rose quartz healing facial using rose absolute oil (a new product coming soon), which will include:
Facial massage
Acupressure points
Scalp rub with gua sha rose quartz
Crystal eye pads & wands
It’s a lovely releasing pink soothe of a facial and will quieten the mind, soften the face, and give a sense of overall release. It can be added to another treatment, as a stand alone or makes a lovely voucher treat.
£35 for 25 mins
